Deeply Rooted in Landscapes
Flora Landscape Contractor’s owner and president, Sebastian Alvarez, immigrated from Colombia, South America, to Louisiana at the age of two. Growing up, he could be found playing on his dad’s construction job sites.
In high school, Sebastian began overseeing the landscaping of his dad’s projects. His natural talent for design and love for the work was evident, so his dad encouraged him to pursue his passion by studying landscape design at LSU. During this program, he traveled worldwide, including a 5-month internship in Japan that heavily influenced his designs.
Today, Sebastian is proud to have his own business to his name. With the addition of Matt Petty to the team, he plans to expand the Flora Landscape business, creating more job opportunities for the community and beautifying the world in the process.
